KENT&CURWEN started as a maker of uniforms. Today, uniforms can be considered the ultimate paradox :
crafted for conformity, worn for a sense of belonging, yet often subverted for self-expression. A very British contradiction given the history of strict codes of dress and the defiance to counter them.
It was with this in mind that the Autumn/Winter 2024 Collection came to life. The new era of KENT&CURWEN sits at the intersection of tradition and rebellion. “We embrace the eccentrics, and a specifically British approach to style : Johnny Rotten, Cecil Beaton’s Bright Young Things and Anne, The Princess Royal. Characters who understood the codes of dressing and used them to say something individual” says Chief Creative Officer Daniel Kearns.

Long before its Ivy league interpretation, the brands preppy roots from dressing school and college teams throughout its history have been updated to reflect a more contemporary audience.
The English Rose and Three Lions heraldry are both redrawn in a modern hand and continue to stand as emblems of the brand’s heritage. The application of these emblems, alongside unexpected proportions and jolts of colours reconfigure the familiar into something new. The new KENT&CURWEN uniform isn’t about blending in, but rather a starting point for standing out.

The Autumn/Winter 2024 campaign, photographed by Glen Luchford, captures the eclecticism of the collection as a series of fleeting moments - unexpected brief encounters, of the kind that can only happen in London.
